I’ve started this column in the Porsche Club newsletter. This is the first person to do this, and Herb is awesome!
How did your love affair with Porsche begin?
When I had completed my freshman year @ Va Tech, I was visiting my sister & her husband who had a good friend with a Porsche. He let me drive it for a few days while I was visiting, and I was hooked bad. I talked their friend into selling me the car before I returned home.
What model was your first Porsche?
I bought the friend’s car for $2,500 before I returned home. It was a 1960 model 356B convertible.
How many have you owned (list model and year for all)?
1960 356B-Wish I still Owned
1975 914 -Currently Own
1980 911-Currently Own
1984 911 Convertible -Currently Own
If you could own any Porsche from any era, which would be and why?
I’ve never seen a Porsche that I didn’t want, but I would like to own & drive a well maintained 935.
What’s your favorite PCA-MSR event(s)?
I like the DE’s and the opportunity to drive at speed with experienced drivers in a safe environment.
